Cane Cutters take the first game of the series over Twins

Texarkana, USA – June 4, 2019 – Generals get the first game against the Twins tonight with a 9-3 victory. The Twins will look to bounce back tomorrow night and avoid the sweep. Twins are now 3-2 and the Cane Cutters are 1-4.

The Twins got the scoring started in the first inning by getting one run in, but they left the bases loaded. No more action in the game until the bottom of the fourth inning. The Cane Cutter’s put up four runs after a 2 run homerun from Reed Spenrath.

The Twins quickly responded in the top of the fifth getting one run back making the score 4-2 Cane Cutters. Unfortunately, the Cane Cutters were able to extend their lead by scoring three in the bottom of the fifth making it 7-2. The Twins again left men stranded on the base pads. They left 7 players on the base pads tonight. The Twins were able to get one run back in the 7th and the 8th but the Cane Cutters were too much. They scored two more runs in the 7th to make the final score 9-4.

Ryne Randle was a bright spot of the Twins tonight. He scored 3 runs and pitched a perfect 8th inning. Tom Litchy had 2 RBI’s and Lee Thomas had one RBI’s. Colten Davis was solid on the mound tonight and struck out multiple batters.

The Twins face off against the Cane Cutters again in Youngsville, Louisiana on the last game of their away trip. The next time we see the Twins is on June 6th at George Dobson Field for Super Hero night where we honor those who protect us. Come see fire trucks, police cars, and more before the game is started.
