Texarkana, TX – July 15, 2018 – The Twins started off the game slow, but ended with a bang tying it up in the 9th. The Cane Cutters outhit the Twins 14-10, but the Twins didn’t come alive until the second half of the game.
Dylan Ditzenberger scored one run early on in the 2nd inning off of a Cane Cutter error. The Twins fell silent until the 6th inning when Jaylon Keys hit a solo home run. Coltyn Kessler scored as well from Tanner Sparks single. Ditzenberger then scores again off of a Cane Cutter error in the 8th inning. This gave the Twins only 4 runs on the board. The Cane Cutters hit the ball and scored consistently throughout the entire night. In the 9th inning the Twins rallied putting 3 runs on the board from Cam Hill’s triple. In the 10th inning both teams fell silent.
In the 11th inning the Cane Cutters scored 4 runs giving the Twins some work to do. The Twins responded back putting 3 runs on the board due to Matt McDonald’s outstanding triple. Three runs were not enough though and the Twins fell short by one. The final score of the ball game was 11-10. The Twins bats came alive late in the game and the Cane Cutters responded and clinched the win in the 11th inning.
The Twins will take a road trip to Victoria, Texas to take on the Victoria Generals for a two-game series starting tomorrow. Then they will return home for a two-game series against the Marshals.
